Good afternoon. My name is Steve Sinclair and I have been a volunteer for Jacob’s Well for the last year and half or so. I am richly blessed as the people in this program are some of the most compassionate Christians you will ever know. My primary duties are transporting donated food items from food banks that are distributed to families and assisting in securing boxes donated from the Dario and the K J’s store that are needed for these distributions. I also help with other issues like emergency food for individual families, fund raising, receiving and transporting donated items and just generally being on call as needed. There are many families in our community that are struggling just to meet their basic needs. I have found that Jacobs Well seeks to assist families in many ways other that just helping with our daily bread. This includes working to guide people to resources to clothing and shelter and other needs and this is all done In a Christian spiritual influence as many people are hurting in this manner as well. I have also seen the link between Jacob’s Well and The Prodigal’s Home. When you add the economic afflictions with the complications of drug addiction families are even in greater need. And it has been remarkable to often actually see the changes in young people’s lives as a result of these two programs. I would also mention that we cooperate with the C4 and other Christian ministries to meet the needs of families in Union County. I strongly believe that Christ requires us to be His hands and feet and just as He came not to be served but to be a servant we should endeavor to do likewise. I would hope that Jacob’s Well will grow and help even more families. And finally, I would ask that you keep Jacob’s Well, The Prodigal’s Home, C4 and other ministries that serve our people in your prayers. Thank you
